Epidemic prevention run

As the Coronavirus epidemic rages worldwide, strong immunity is crucial to resisting the virus. The most effective way to strengthen the immune system is to exercise regularly. Therefore, our school organized the "epidemic prevention run" to boost students' immunity—the running activity during a 20-minute break. Not only can it strengthen students' immune systems, but it can also develop students' habits of exercising regularly and maintaining health. Two years have passed since the policy launched, allowing students to bask in the sun and absorb vitamins. Aside from students, some teachers joined them and ran with them, tightening their bond.

Black and White run

"Black and White run" is an annual activity for kindergarten kids. The name of the activity came from one of the most iconic outfits of Victoria Academy–zebra uniform. The term "black and white run" came from black and white stripes of the uniform worn in PE class. The activity aims to help kids develop the good habit of exercising regularly from a young age, making running an everyday routine in their future life.

This activity was held on the sports day last year for the kindergarteners. With the spirit of the black and white run, the parent-child run is fit for both kids and their parents. It hopes to encourage parents and children to run regularly and their families as a whole.

Brigade relay

Brigade relay is an indispensable activity in most school sports days in Taiwan. It has no physical and skill limitations. It usually takes a class as a unit to participate together, and each class sends a fixed number of boys and girls to participate in the competition.

However, the rules of Victoria Academy are a bit different from usual. In Victoria Academy's brigade relay, each player will wear a numbered shirt of a specific color. Players with odd numbers will be waiting at the starting point, and players with even numbers will stay at the 100 meters line in preparation to take the relay baton.

The first runner will remain on the track determined by drawing a lot before the race and waiting for the judge to fire the shot to start the race. When the second player passes the baton to the third player, they can start changing to the inner tracks and run until the last player sprints across the finish line to complete the race. Brigade relay can improve our physical fitness and strengthen our cardiorespiratory function. It can also train students' self-confidence and perseverance. Moreover, in the process of practice and competition, it can cultivate team spirit and build the sense of identity of the class.

1k running

1k is an activity held by Victoria Academy during sports day. At least one student from each class should send to participate, hoping that the students will develop the habit of running. The track for 1k starts from the turf and runs towards the school gate, then runs along with the campus. After that, it goes around the dormitory and finally back towards the sports field to the end. Students can strengthen their physical fitness and cardiorespiratory function through this activity. As well as building self-confidence and perseverance, they can also improve your mental health.
